We use unmanned aircraft systems ("drones") where appropriate to inspect roofs, buildings and other areas that may be difficult, unsafe or inefficient to inspect using conventional access methods.
Drone surveys may involve capturing photographs and/or video footage of roofs, elevations, buildings and surrounding areas.
The purpose of this imagery is to obtain technical information relevant to the inspection or survey. We do not use drones for the purpose of monitoring or identifying individuals.
We take reasonable steps to minimise the unnecessary capture of individuals and private areas that are unrelated to the survey. However, due to the nature of aerial surveying, people, vehicles, neighbouring property or other identifiable information may occasionally appear incidentally within images or footage.
Where identifiable individuals are captured, we will only use and retain that information where reasonably necessary for the purposes of the survey, project record, legal or contractual requirements, or other legitimate business purposes.
Where appropriate and reasonably practicable, measures may be taken to minimise unnecessary personal information, including avoiding unnecessary recording, limiting the area being captured and deleting footage or imagery that is not required.
